DEVELOPMENT ISSUE #14 - Figure out batch mySQL imports
Reported by Luke Kolin (DVA043) on 07/05/2005 10:58 ET
Assigned To Luke Kolin (DVA043)
Issue Status Fixed on 07/07/2005 19:14 ET
Issue Priority Low
Airlines Air France Virtual, Delta Virtual Airlines
Security Public
Area Web Site
Issue Type Enhancement
Target Version 1.0
Issue Description Rather than running the Domino->mySQL imports through Eclipse, see if you can run them via mysqldump and mysqlimport from the BSD box. This should be much faster since you can gzip the SQL statements, FTP upload them to the BSD box and then run them there.

Try it on a small table such as AIRLINES or TIMEZONES, and create a dummy database called imptest to import them into.

While you're at it, figure out why an export of CHARTS from polaris returns 430 records instead of 3400.

try this: mysqldump -C -n -t -K --hex-blob -h mysql.deltava.org db TABLE > filename.txt

Now let's see the import.
