Lets all congratulate Don on his promotion to Chief Pilot of our largest program at DVA, the 737! Don has some mighty big shoes to fill taking over for Alan Cluff who has been leading this program for quite a while. Don came to us back in September of 2007 and quickly made his way through the ranks of a few different programs and ultimatly settling on his love of the 737. In 2009, he became Assistant Chief Pilot of the 737 where he has been ever since. We expect to see great things out of Don as he continues the legacy of the 737 program. Lets all give him a hand as he embarks on this huge endeavor.

Don, Alan always wanted his car to smell like pizza after a detailing.
I tried to talk him into the pine or 'new car smell' but he wouldn't budge. What's your preference?

All the responses have made me feel very welcome.
I must agree with everyone when it comes to Alan's great leadership in the 737 program. I truly think that the 737 program is what it is because of the leadership of Alan. Alan took over after Joe Porter, who was also great Cheif Pilot, stepped down and because of their leadership the program is where it is now.
It is said never go stage on after a better band or a funnier comedian. I have some pretty big shoes to fill and honestly I am a little worried, but I am sure with Ken and Sterling's help I will be fine, hopefully.
Alan, I am going to miss you. I wish you would have yelled at me more often. The upside is that you are still listed as my Chief Pilot in my profile. I hope that doesn't change, it will be a nice reminder, and will help me keep things in the proper perspective.
Gentlemen lets carry on. Althought the name under the window has changed this 737 will stay on it's current course; steady, straight and climbing

I may be a low guy on the totem-pole and newbie around here but I would like to say congrats to both Don and Allan. I can say from first hand experience DVA and the people who empower it have been the most knowledge and polite people I have met in this capacity. The leadership of DVA cannot be matched by any of the others out there. Its people like Don and Allan that have and will continue to make this possible.
