I find this channel on cable called "Antenna TV" and I'm watching an episode of Adam 12 which was filmed in 1972. This episode takes place at LAX and when they're in the parking lot, I see this airliner in the background turning. The screenshot from my cell phone is pathetic but can you help me? I'm guessing TWA but I'm sure some of you are better at figuring this out than i am.

Not a tri-holer at least. It may be TWA, but it's hard to tell. Looks to be an older Boeing, but it's hard to tell with that building in the way.

An old 747 (maybe even an SP model?) I really am unsure, just the first thing that popped up in my head! Now I'm curious!

Actually, I think the airline is Pan Am.

There's no telltale curve of an upper deck.

Going to call this a Pan Am 707.

Scroll down - http://kammphoto.blogspot.com/2009/11/707s-of-70s.html . There's a good reference picture.

Well I would have to agree on it being a 707, however that is not a Pan-Am 707, it is actually a Varig 707 - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8d/Varig_Boeing_707-320C_PP-VJK_ZRH_Sep_1982.png , one of the give aways is Pan Am has their name inside their logo, and clearly this plane has no name in the logo, it is below.

I'll have to disagree with you guys. I just don't see that star inside, rather the globe of the Pan Am logo. Regardless, without a clearer picture, it's impossible to be sure.

You can tell because below the circle there is a black streak where the word Varig would be... Pan Am doesn't have any text in that same position.

I saw that, but it looks far too small to be the Varig name, especially with the entire tail visible.

Thanks for posting that. I'll call myself wrong and say that it is Varig after all.
