Issue Description |
Hello,
I have been having to submit offline flights lately. Unfortunately, two of my flights have been rejected by the system (unable to upload them) due to SHA mismatches. Is there any way to troubleshoot this or recover the saved flight?
I will be happy to send in the file. I have not modified the file that was saved directly by ACARS yesterday and I attempted to upload it just now. I am not sure what would cause the SHA mismatch. |

I'm not aware of why that error would occur. let me see if Luke can help out. |

This is not a bug - it may mean that the flights have been corrupted or altered after saving.
ZIP them up and attach them to this ticket. |

Here is the most recent one that won't upload. I haven't modified the file so I'm not sure how it got corrupted. |

Able to duplicate - the signatures definitely do not match. |

So, I took this file from the ACARS folder on my laptop, transferred it to a computer connected to the internet, and uploaded it. I did not modify the file in any way. The ZIP was generated by ACARS.
Just to be sure it wasn't corrupted during transfer, I tried it again today, and it is still the same file with the same results.
Am I doing something wrong in ACARS? Is there any way to recover this flight data? Or should I just file a non-ACARS PIREP due to the error here? |

Also, I have a couple of files from an old ACARS build that I just flew. Unfortunately I completely reset my computer (in an attempt to fix some errors I have been having) and the only downloaded ACARS I had was old.
I am getting the error that I cannot upload these files because they were made using build 125.
Can you please help me get these two files uploaded? |

Hey unfortunately I had one more I couldn't submit. I started this one online but then we lost internet connection. Could you please assist with this one? |

I am still having issues with the SHA mismatch. I am definitely NOT modifying these files, and they aren't corrupting during the transfer or upload to DVA.
I don't really mind filing MANUAL PIREPS for these, but I would much rather file the offline ACARS pireps.
I also thought you should know since the SHA feature doesn't seem to be perfect. I'm not exactly sure what's wrong with it, I just know I click "end flight" and then I copy the resulting .ZIP file it makes for me to a CD and get it uploaded to the internet.
I had 3 more errors (in addition to the one I submitted a couple days ago). The first one is attached. |

Here is the 2nd one |

And here is the 3rd one from today
I am not sure what is causing these errors. Is there anything I can do differently that might keep these errors from occurring? |

Good evening,
I had one more failure happen again today. I would love any insight you have as to what might be causing this error. I am certain that I am not modifying these files and I am copying them (without corruption) directly from the ACARS folder.
I click "yes" when it asks me if I want to save the file, I click "yes" when it asks me if I want to compress the file, and I click "yes" when it asks me if I want to open the folder, and then I copy the file to a CD and upload it on a work computer.
I have attached today's file that failed. |

Have you tried not compressing the files? |

I will try that in the future.
I went to my files and tried to get the uncompressed versions, but unfortunately when ACARS compresses them it also doesn't save the uncompressed files. So for these 5 flights I will not be able to try the uncompressed files. Could you possibly assist with these 5?
Perhaps I won't have issues if I don't let ACARS automatically compress the files. |

So far (14 flights uploaded) I haven't had the SHA error when submitting uncompressed files. Hopefully I don't have the issue anymore.
Could you please assist by helping me upload these 5 flights (uploaded above)? I unfortunately could not upload them due to the SHA mismatch error, and I cannot get the uncompressed files because ACARS did not save them when I selected "yes" when it asked me if I wanted the data to be compressed.
Thank you for your time and assistance! |

I still am having the occasional issue due to SHA mismatch. I just had one more today, despite not compressing the data. I have attached the file (it is compressed just for the purpose of uploading it to this thread).
Since my deployment is almost over, I will just file all of these as NON-ACARS PIREPS due to the issue with the SHA mismatch. I don't expect to have to file many offline PIREPs in the near future! |

Just a heads up - I filed all of these as non-ACARS PIREPS and they are awaiting approval. Thanks! |
