Description	The Assistant Director of Events is responsible for planning, coordinating, and publishing online events to the DVA Events Calendar, and also assists with and participates in projects relating to the events department as deemed appropriate. The Assistant Director of Events also assists the entire events team with the planning, execution and management of DVA tours. The Assistant Director of Events reports to and receives direction from the Director of Events. This position is time-consuming, and new hires can expect to be responsible for planning 1-3 events per week in addition to other duties. A successful candidate for this position should possess the following: • Been a member of Delta Virtual Airlines for a minimum of a year. • Logged a minimum of 100 Flight Legs with Delta Virtual Airlines. • Considerable experience with online flying on the VATSIM network and communicating with ATC • Considerable experience with participating in DVA events and tours • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate with our pilots, other DVA staff, and both VATSIM and other Virtual Airline staff members as appropriate. Must be able to respond to all communications in a timely manner. • Ability to attend periodic online Events Department meetings. In addition, while not required, the ideal candidate will also have: • A DVA Flight Academy OLP Certification and VATSIM P1 rating. • Experience with trans-oceanic flights, as well as flights outside the United States including Europe, South America and Asia.
