Description The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and publishing online events to the DVA Events Calendar, as well as assisting with projects relating to the DVA Events Program.

The Events Coordinator reports to and receives direction from the Assistant Director of Events. This position is time-consuming, and new hires can expect to be responsible for planning 1-3 events per week in addition to any other duties assigned to them.

A successful candidate for the position should possess the following:

Been a member of Delta Virtual Airlines for a minimum of one (1) year.
Logged a minimum of 100 flights with Delta Virtual Airlines.
Have considerable experience with online flying using the VATSIM network and communicating with ATC.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with our pilots, other DVA staff, and both VATSIM and other virtual airline staff members in performance of their event duties. Be able to respond to communications in a timely manner.
Ability to attend periodic staff team meetings using Discord or other voice meeting technology (webcam optional).
Be able to function well in a team environment and also be a self-starter for your daily event planning tasks.

In addition, while not required, the following will make your application stand out:

Experience with trans-oceanic and international (non-US) flights, especially using VATSIM.
Previous experience with event planning.
Experience with graphical design for the purpose of creating event graphics and logos.
