Personally, I am pulling for Bombardier. I think Boeing has been unprofessional regarding this incident and they have also just lost out on a potential large order for the 737 max with Delta having now selected the Airbus A321 NEO for 100 new aircraft.

I have to agree with you, I think Boeing is talking out of both sides of their mouth. When Delta complained years ago about the Gulf States airlines getting subsidies from their government to purchase planes, Boeing didn't think anything about it. Now Bombardier wants to give Delta a great deal on these aircraft to become it's launch customer in the US, and Boeing wants to pull this card out of the deck. Aircraft manufactures usually give great discounts to their launch customers. To think the 737-700 competes with this plane is a bit of a stretch. Sales of the 700 is pretty low as well, seeing how the 800 and 900 are its biggest competition. I would hate to be the salesman that handles the Delta account for Boeing. It may be slim pickings for the next 10 years or so. I heard a lot of this Airbus deal hinged on the engine choice. Pratt and Whitney lets Delta do much of the repairs for themselves as well as other airlines. What usually is a money loser has turned into a profit center for Delta.

agreed. I am very pleased with the direction Delta has taken since the merger. No, it is not perfect, but they are sailing on more steady waters then they have in a long time. If they can keep focus on being customer oriented, it will be a win win for everyone.

Boeing seems to be falling off the edge of sanity. With the insanity that happened behind the curtains manufacturing the 787 and the trade dispute I feel like Delta was correct purchasing Airbus planes. Now the Canadian Defense has scrapped plans to buy Boeing fighter jets. With Boeing losing this much business I suspect more insanity. Seems like those in charge just want the money. Greed is self destructive and we're watching the final phases of greed destroy itself. Boeing will be a has been.

Boeing also recently witnessed their main competitor build a factory in the same country, only a few hours from Delta's HQ and main hub. If I were Boeing, I'd go build a factory in Europe. By the same token, I don't believe its a coincidence that all those defense contractors (Lockheed, Boeing, etc.) have high rise offices across the street from the Pentagon. I will give Boeing credit for having their HQ in Chicago, home of United. My 2 cents. Fun to sit back and watch.

Boeing's plant in South Carolina is closer to Delta in Atlanta than Airbus in Alabama
This is such a panic/knee jerk reaction from Boeing.. it's pathetic. Boeing really needs to get their act together

Now, Delta wants all Bombardier to be build at the Airbus plant in the USA instead of here in Mirabel, Qc, Canada... but Bombardier has more space to finish their C-300 for Korean airlines..! and the first one left today (12-23-2017) for Asia.! my little cousin is one of the ingineer at Bombardier in Mirabel. I got the chance to see it at their plant. very nice bird.!
