**NOTAM: To receive event credit for CTP, as with any other event, signups are REQUIRED for any route that does not otherwise exist in DVA's regular schedule database. It is HIGHLY recommended that all pilots signup for this event before participating in order to avoid issues with getting your PIREP approved**

VATSIM's biggest event of the year is back for CTP Westbound 2024! Per tradition, DVA pilots participating in the event will receive online event credit via the event posting. Below is important information for DVA pilots pertaining to the event as this online event is structured very differently from most DVA events.

Pilots are asked to obtain a booking for the event if they plan to participate. Unlike in previous years, because of increased participation and controller workload during CTP, VATSIM has requested pilots to NOT participate in CTP or fly any trans-Atlantic routes during the event unless they have a confirmed slot. As good members of the VATSIM community, DVA kindly requests that our pilots respect this request by VATSIM and refrain from flying trans-Atlantic flights on the network during Cross the Pond.

* ROUTING: *

Route of flight for each member is determined by CTP event staff and is considered final. Routes, including NAT tracks, will be posted to the pilot area of the CTP website approximately 12 hours prior to the event start time and updated booking information containing the route will be emailed to pilots at this time. DVA does not provide routing for this event and does not communicate booking or routing information to the pilots. Pilots must use the route assigned by VATSIM for the flight and questions/concerns should be directed to VATSIM CTP staff.

* DVA EVENT CREDIT *

Pilots at DVA may sign up and receive online event credit for CTP just like any other DVA event. As many of the CTP routes do not exist in DVA's database, pilots are encouraged to sign up as a system-generated draft PIREP will likely be required for approval. Event signups will close at 0830z (0330 Eastern/2330 Pacific) on the day of the event.

**NOTAM TO PILOTS** Please note that some of the CTP routes for this year do not exist in DVA's schedule. Because this is a big event, DVA pilots may still get event credit on these routes IF and ONLY IF they sign up for the event prior to the signup closing time (30 minutes prior to event start) and receive an automatic draft report in their logbook prior to filing their PIREP. These drafts will be generated at signup close time. No signups will be permitted after this time.
