While looking through some other FS forums I stumbled upon a statement:

Basically you set FSX's slider to unlimited, but then use an external framerate limiter dll that goes into the FSX folder to stop it from exceeding a certain value. The FSX engine works differently when the slider is set to unlimited vs. an actual framerate and is usually smoother with less fluctuation that way.

This is something I haven't heard of before...totally new to me. Where could I get such a DLL? ....I'm searching Google at this moment but not getting what I want.

This seems to work as advertised. It made my FSX run much smoother, I have everything MAXED out and I get a steady 30 frames with no stutters. Darn, looks like I'm gonna have to start giving FSX a little more love.

OK I have verified thats where it is.
Can you tell me what this means:
start the FPS_limiter_GUI
in the Path, point to your FSX.exe (i suggest keeping settings as they are at 30 FPS, and in FSX Turn your FPS to unlimited.)
Click create bat, it will create a new file in the FPS limiter Folder, called FSX.exe.limited (thats what it calls mine)
you now start FSX always via this File.

confused

Tom, try this one. http://www.kegetys.n..._antilag101.zip I have tried the one you are trying to use and I found this frame rate limiter to be a better one. Basically, you drop these to files into your FSX folder. For the Antilag file a changed the settings to read: [config]
RenderAheadLimit=2
FPSlimit=35

It works like a charm. No stutters what so ever.....smooth as butta

Neil it might differ from machine to another.
I have the latest Geforce driver installed.
Then it doesn't lock the frames 100%, try and set it to 10fps as i did to check if it's working on your system.
What i like about it, is that even if i get around 23fps (locked 30fps) i don't get any stutter, unlike before.
