To all of those of you who saw my last couple posts that I started, I apologize for the wording I used. I asked the moderators to take down my last one so I could post a more constructive one here.

My question, basically, was that I was awaiting the grading of a CR that I felt had taken longer to review than it should have. I first tried emailing the CP, then tried the help desk, but became frustrated when I wasn't recieving any responses and lashed out on the forums. After re-reading what I had posted, I had posted something negative and un-constructive. So here's what I learned and wanted to share with everyone else who may ever be put in my position!:

- Remember that all the staff of DVA are volunteers--they have regular lives with regular jobs, families, and issues, and sometimes things come up that take them away from DVA for a bit.

- If you are having issues/questions with your CR, equipment change, or additional rating, go to the CP (Chief Pilot) of that aircraft first. If you can't can't reach your CP, try an ACP (assistant CP). If that doesn't work, go to the help desk. If all else fails, you can email George Lewis and he will help you out! All these emails can be found on the left at the bottm under the link "OUR STAFF" ( http://www.deltava.org/staff.do )

- The forums are not really the place for Check Ride issues, other than celebration. If you have questions, problems, or anything of the nature, try contacting the staff first.

-And last but not least, don't take things personal!

So to anyone I may have offended with my short-tempered-ness, I apologize. I look forward to see all you guys up in the big blue sky!!

**EDIT** Doh! Could this get moved to Airline Operations?

I'm a forums moderator for a popular MMORPG (perhaps one of you can guess?), and we deal with rules being broken all the time, but never do we get anybody who is so responsible as to organize an apology, and also to give advise to people who may face this problem in the future. Usually *we* have to do that...

So just to let you know, Taylor, this will warm the hearts of many staff members. Thanks for taking the time to post this!

And also you made one little typo...you said that DVA staff have "regular lives". None of our staff members are "regular" lol.

I used to be terrible with these forums at DVA. I was riding the edge with flamable things here and there. I have no idea why, but I've changed my ways and I can reassure all members that you'll never here that from me again and I apologize to the senior staff and all the other members who had to put up with my spontaneous remarks that made everyone feel uneasy. smile

Taylor, Good on ya mate" smile and also to echo some of the sentiments expressed by Alexander. Yes we are all human and get stressed and the like. After many years I have learned NOT to make any rash statements when I am in a high state of agitation ( i.e very angry). Your humbleness is apparent and your apology sincere as well as some very good advice. Thank you for that.

In a similiar situation here this past September, I read something here on the sight that upset me a great deal and just continued to bothered me. So Like I usually do I compose my post in a word program ( mostly for spelling, lol) and saved it. I know I am really upset not to post right away but rather leave it for several days before going back and reading it again when I believe I am less “stressed” . Still bothered I confided my issues and my post in an email to my CP asking his opinion and advice which was well worth it. After which I understood the situation a little better. So if you are experiencing some frustration here in the DVA world I recommend letting it simmer and see if it goes away and if not then confide in you CP for guidance.
