I have search previous posts to no avail before asking this question. In the pilot center flight schedule it lists available departure and destination airports with a three letter name. I have found that when using flight aware to search for flight routes I have found some of the names/codes are not even close. Nassau, Bahamas etc. NAS on this site, MYNN on flight aware. What am I doing wrong?

A history kind of:

You are doing nothing wrong - there is a difference between airport code and Identifier.

ICAO = International Civil Aviation Organization

Airport Codes are the Three letter Identifier

You can edit your pilot profile to show airports using IATA (3-letter) or ICAO (4-letter) codes. Your choice.

Cheers!

My brother fell on his skateboard and hurt himself very badly. The Para-medic saved his life. We thought he was gone. The Fire-Rescue means alot to me. Are you a Para-medic?

Andrew: As always you are a fountain of information. I can usually find the answers to my questions by reading your posts.
Luke: Thank you for all your dedicated time to this awesome operation and all your work on ACARS.
Scott: Not a Paramedic. I am a Fire Captain/EMT just south of Myrtle Beach.
