Get rated in the L-1011 too. The B747 goes along with it. I think you will enjoy the L-1011.

You can also come to the 777 program to get the 747 ratings. I think you will enjoy the super long hauls like Atlanta - Mumbai - Atlanta, Newark - Hong Kong- Newark, Atlanta - Shanghai - Atlanta and that kind of flights biggrin !!

The B744 is in pre-release mode right now - basically we're going over the bird and making sure it is ready for you guys. Thanks to Rob Morgan, the AOM is nearly ready to go out the door as well. It'll be a few more days at least...

Bryon, you forget the A340... The only way that you can get that rating is doing the 777 checkride (or also get transfer to AFVA and be in the A340 program)

The engines and ambient sound in the L-1011 fleet airplane are really quite good. They relax you a little bit in or out of busy airports on Vatsim. I think this is one of our best airplanes.

Glen, you will have to pass the FO exam and the checkride to be a 747 pilot in the 747 program.

Glen, you are an L-1011 pilot. You are rated to fly B747s for Delta and you need no check ride to keep your rating. I have been flying the Posky 747 for a while and love this airplane.

Update - the AOM will publish very soon, and the Fleet installer is basically ready to go. You're probably looking at the 747 program going live by this weekend if everything goes well.

Thanks for the heads up!
Also, another great freeware 747 is the RFP. It is only a 742 but it has good systems operation and a VC.

Bryon,

The Ready for Pushback is the source for he -100 and -200 that are part of the FS9 installer and they are indeed nice birds. Sorry FSX'ers, RFP is not FSX compatible so you get he -400 only.
