I have my 2-D cockpit but my FMC and all my Displays say they are not supported by fsx.

Are you sure you downloaded the FSX version not the FS9 one?

B747-400 is FSX only
B747 is FS2004 only.

It will say in the installer description: This Delta Virtual Airlines Fleet Library installer is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

I have installed the fsx version I almost installed the FS2004 but I caught myself.
