Delta Virtual Airlines is pleased to announce that the Stage 4 Boeing 747-400 program is now active. If you wish to join the program, go to the testing center and take the B744 First Officer exam, Once you pass the exam, you can apply for a transfer to the program.

Even if you have a B744 rating, you will be required to take the B744 check ride. The DVA Fleet B744 or PMDG 744 will be allowed for the check ride.

Don't forget to download and read through the B744 AOM at least once before taking the exam - it'll make life alot easier for you

If you have any questions or problems, you can post here on the Cooler or create a helpdesk issue for Rob Morgan, the B744 Chief Pilot.

Keep in mind that these exams like all the others are automatically scored so you'll have your results immediately.

All I ask is a bit of patience on the transfer/rating requests. I do work full time but will take necessary actions as soon as possible.

As for the check ride, I think you''ll find it a good test of your piloting and management skills. I've tried to keep is fair but demanding. Read the script closely and make sure you meet all the requirements and you should do fine. Please make sure you are comfortable with the aircraft and know how to use the systems. I only flew it about 15 times over the last 3 weeks to make sure it was a good one.

I know a few of you have been drooling over this program, now's your time to shine.

Welcome!

If One holds the ratings already does One have to take the FO exam AND checkride or the checkride only?

Question on upgrade to 747 Captain: If an existing Stage 4 Captain joins the 747 Program and successfully passes the FO check ride and exam, can the previously flown and approved 747 flights that are in his/her logbook be grandfathered and count towards upgrade to 747 Captain? Or does the clock start all over again and 10 flights must be flown before testing for Captain?
