I am a F/O in the 737-800 program. I wanted to know if I have to do my flights on Acars to become a Captain. Thank you!

Since you are already a FO you do not have to submit any more PIREPS in ACARS. You only have to fly your 10 legs, ACARS or manual, then pass the captains promotion test. THe only required ACARS flight is your FO checkride. You can find all this info in the pilot's promotion manual in the documents section of the pilot's center.

10 ACARS flights using your type aircraft are required to qualify for the Captain exam, I believe since June 08 only stage 1 programs don't required ACARS to qualify.

After becoming F/O a pilot must fly 10 legs using ACARS in the aircraft type the pilot is seeking Captain promotion. This applies to all equipment programs with the exception of EMB-120 and CRJ.
