Ryan - I'm going to assume that you are kidding - and if so - ha ha!

The Pitot Heat switch in FS9 for the MD88 is on the overhead panel almost in the middle on the bottom - under the R ENG ON button

Tony--my MD-88 is the FSX version....Shift-4 brings up the panel. Always useful to provide some info, as in "I'm using FS9". Sorry for wasting your time.

I have not been able to engage the Mach hold on this airplane. I have flown it a bunch albeit not logged as a Delta pilot. I usually just set it to 330 knots and fly away at altitude.

You guys have to be more specific - the M Hold works fine on Fleet in FSX and FS2004 - is the M light not coming on or what?

Can anyone point out a pitot heat switch or indicator in the above image?

The MD-88 panel is the smaller inset image.

I have not been able to pull up an overhead panel with the current version of the md-88

Tony - I am the MD88 program ACP.
The Pitot Heat switch in FS9 for the MD88 is on the overhead panel almost in the middle on the bottom - under the R ENG ON button

For FSX - overhead panel next to the eng xfeed.

My experience has been AP and AT engaged and holding airspeed through speed hold (kts) then when through about FL210 switching to mach hold. The Mach hold light goes on but the aircraft does not seem to hold that mach number. I will trouble shoot and pay more attention next flight.

I have also had the problem of the throttle sticking but through another thread it appears this sometimes happens and to press E,1,2 at the same time to re-engage the throttles.

Using Fleet panel with FS9.

it's not that the throttles are disengaging, sometimes, when you are typing in ACARS, or another program - it will be interepreted by FS, and every so often, you may hit the combo to UNSYNC the throttle/engine. E+1+2 (plus however many engines you have will sync them together again

Lindsey--I have experienced the same issue, especially after about FL310. The A/T just seems to not react, and I never get anywhere near the mach setting at cruise. I just turn off autothrottle and control manually (about 93% N1 seems to hold me at 0.76 at FL350 or thereabouts. And...yes, I have forgotten to reduce throttle during a descent (overspeed! overspeed! says the robot) and forgotten to re-engage A/T during approach. You only make those mistakes once!
