If it says 767 for the route you can fly a 777. Heck, you could fly a 777 for a CRJ route if you really wanted.

Correct Rivay.

Simply put: According to DVA rules, you can fly ANY a/c on ANY route so long as it would be able to make it. I.E. not run out of fuel half way there. So no CRJ flying from ATL-JNB for me biggrin . In the schedule, most TATL flights is on the 767 with the exception of a few on the T7. You can sub ANY 767 route for your T7 and vice versa for a 767 guy wanting to fly a 777 route (so long as the 767 can make the T7 route; some T7 routes are very long).

Same for domestic flying. Just because a flight shows as a 737 or MD88 doesn't mean you can't fly your T7 or say 757 on it.

My longest was ATL-JNB non-stop. And I did that in a 767-200ER. But all i had onboard was fuel, so... Seriously though, a 767 can fly MOST of the T7 routes. I've flown it just recently from Hong Kong to LA and had fuel to spare. And Frank you're right, long haul does rock!
