So... I probably sound like quite the moron asking this but, I have read every single manual on the site and can not find out how too get started in the flight academy. I have been enrolled for quite some time but have never been able too get started. Anyways, if anyone can help point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it.
Regards,

To apply, click on the Flight Academy Link:
http://www.deltava.org/academy.do

Next you will see a box that has the course drop down list - select PRIVATE PILOT and ENROLL

There is quite a long list, but be assured the will get to you eventually. Once you are enrolled, you will be able to access the study material for the course. Until you are enrolled, you will not have access to those documents.

There are only a handful of instructors, and many enrolled - patience is the key.

Yep, we are backed up, just beginning to get to those that enrolled in Jan-Feb, 2009. We are making some changes to access the flight academy documents that we will announce soon. Also, the best way to help us thru the course, is to learn how to "fly" the EMB 120ER, so download it and practice. Learn the numbers and how to really fly the airplane. The other way to help us move students is that when your time to take the lessons occurs, dedicate yourself, your time, etc to study and learn and finish the course ASAP. Flying once a week will not do you any good. If you do this, we can get you thru the course in approx 14 days, but that means that most of the work is on you....

Also, once you enroll in the course, do not withdraw as this will only move you to the back of the line again... Hope this explains! wink

Matt: the way it works if you apply to join the PPL you are put in a list based on when you enrolled and you move up the list as others either take the course or remove themselves from the course...Other factors are do not respond to emails from flight academy when your slot opens, being inactive when your slot opens up, etc, etc, etc....We will look into your records and send you an email on your status.... wink

Matt, actually you enrolled in the Flight Academy again in Jan. 9th, 2009. We currently have a queue of about 160 pilots wanting to take the PPL course and we are currently processing students from Jan 2009 so I would expect that we should be getting to you soon. smile
