POSKY has a model ready to go, they're just waiting for first flight before releasing it. Prob. b/c they're going to need to tweak the flight model based on what it actualy does rw, and not just on what the computers say it will do.

Given that Boeing has yet to fly the 787 no one really knows how it will perform...give it a while before any true to life models are released. Personally, I'm rather happy with the 767 and 777, both are excellent ETOPS rated twins.

Ryan, before the merger, NWA ordered 18 787s with options for 50 more. Delta is keeping those orders, though they've been pushed back. At least thats what I've heard around the plant.

Gary, we don't do final assembly here in Charleston. We assemble the midbody and wingbox. And at any rate, no camereas are allowed inside the plant.

I used to drive a long haul truck for a living, and I would deliver to a customer that would take aluminum from ALCOA, cut it up to send out to aircraft manufactures. Kevin I would pick up out of the Goose Creek plant take it to PA and return with loads back to Charleston

Rumor has it that Boeing is going to start up a second assembly line in South Carolina, which is a great idea. Lower cost of labor there, and it'll allow for them to catch up on delivery times.

Yes, Boeing is going to open a second assembly line for the 787, the only question is where. There are mulitple sites under consideration with Charleston being one of them. But we're not supposed to say anything else about it other than what you can read on Boeing's website and in thier offical press releases.

Boeing had a site visit here over the past few days. Ten people from Boeing came to Charleston.
Part of the stay included a tour of the Charleston Airport.

That is all I can really say.

They were in town and took a tour of the airport.

not sure, POSKY designers were waiting for real world data on the real world flying characteristics of the 787... plus they don't provide release dates so it could some time before its ready... i think they are working on new 767 followed by the 787...

looks promising, but you have to be patient...

Nikolay, thats because POSKY is freeware and LDS and PMDG are payware. For freeware, you're not going to get anything better than POSKY. Besides, their visual models are amazing! Merge their model w/ the LDS or PMDG panels, and you've got an amazing aircraft.

If there is a panel from LDS or PMDG then it's not necessary to have POSKY at all

I bought mine already. Just waiting till there are some definative numbers from Boeing before I start flying it regularly. It's the Abacus version (please keep boos and hisses to a minimum please) and has a lot of neat toys but why fly it knowing the handeling chararacteristics are bound to change. Does anyone know when it will be test flown?

i dont think they will. The a330 seems to new. Might phase out some 767s or even 777s for different routes. 777 ATL-SYD???
