I was assigned a checkride for the 747 program which I flew on 09/01. I have not heard anything back about it. Is the CP on vacation or just swamped?

I don't know the official procedure, but every time I have sent an e-mail to the person who assigned my checkride after 2 days politely saying "Hey, I just flew the CR a few days ago, it was a beautiful flight, I hope you enjoy grading it as much as I enjoyed flying it!" and it is usually graded within a few hours.
