My log book is concurrent, and I hope to keep it that way. My question is simply this, if I'm preparing to take a CR can I find out where the departure point will be for that CR from the CP of the program I'm going to bump up to? I'm hoping to position myself and aircraft prior to that CR so as to contiune to keep my log book intact.

You need to respectfully contact your ACP or CP of your program. And please make your banner a little bit smaller please. Thanks you.

I'm not sure if DVA has a different procedure in place than we do at AFVA, but I can tell you how they used to work it (and how we still do at AFV). Normally when you apply for an equipment transfer or for additional ratings and require a CR, your request goes into a queue. Each program has its own unique CR, defined by that program's staff. You will receive an email when the CR is assigned to you that will include all of the details for the flight, along with any special notes or considerations. Usually, at AFVA at least, we don't discuss specifics of CRs with candidates prior to it being assigned to them. This is to maintain the integrity of the system. However, if you asked your CP or ACP simply where you would be starting from, you may get the answer to your question. I guess that would be up to the CP, unless there is some other policy in place that would prohibit that. Hope this was helpful and good luck!

You can also sign up for the checkride - you know you have 14 days to complete - then fly the ride in the plane, as many times as you want to practice it - and select the "THIS IS A TRAINING FLIGHT" in the ACARS menu, and this will allow you to check and review all the flight data as you normally would - without having the flight logged in your logbook

To add to both Ryan and Andy's reply: you could request it, get the information, then fly your plane to the departure airport then practice it and or actually fly the ride.

I appreciate all the tips & suggestions gentleman, thanks!

And John why the request to make my banner smaller, just curious?

I was going to ask the same thing...his banner is fine. The size restriction is 520x160 which is exactly what his is

I was just kinda wondering myself, I've had it for what?...at least 16-18 months that I can think of, and never had an issue with it, actually had several compliments about it...so John's request came as a bit odd.

Hey one more question guys about the same subject... I was grandfathered over with the pilots who got the CRJ's as part of the Stage-1 aircraft, but that has since changed, can I still elect to switch up to the CRJ Program & take the check ride, log 10+ flights, and exam out for Captain?
