I am having an issue with only the CRJ200, and I have never had this issue before.

I am taking off, flaps 8, V1 speed should be 145, no rotation, takes to about 195 before I get rotation. Even tried a flaps 20 takeoff and it is still the same.

can someone tell me what I need to tweak, to get this back to normal

(has you can tell I am not very computer literate)

try adjusting the trim, so that you have a more nose-up tendancy. also yank bank all the way on your joystick when you want to rotate if its not responding to small movements

This question comes up about once a week. The CRJ requires a lot of trim to take off. The answer to how much is in the manual.

Chris, possibly the worst advice you can give. Do not yank all the way back on your joystick if it is not "responding to small movements"

Thank you Dean, there is the issue. The CRJ I had downloaded adjusted the trim automatically

Dean, I didn't mean it literally. I mean if small movements on the joystick arent working, then use larger movements.

the CRJ 200 requires alot of trim set it to somewhere between 2.8 and 3.0 20 degrees on flaps and will only require just a little on the back pressure

Also, the take-off flaps for the CRJ-200 should be 20.

Nicholas..I am just going by real life experience, and we plan all CRJ flights at flap 8 and all EMB at flaps 9, for lower fuel consumption on climb. So that is how I have been flying on sim.

Nicholas, does the manual tell you to takeoff with flaps 20?

Along with trim, excessive aircraft weight is the a huge problem within the CRJ program, so make sure your weight is not over MTOW.

Thought I had the trim set correctly yesterday.....mmmm NOT. Took off from SLC at MTOW, what I failed to notice, was that when I was taxiing out, I lost internet connection, and for some reason when re connecting the trim re set itself to normal. Talk about a long takeoff roll.

Second mistake, when enroute to COS, I had a great tailwind, and my groundspeed was 520, so I slowed from M.78 to M.70, which decreased my fuel burn causing me to land overweight, even doing one missed approach, for this reason
