All good things need to come to an end, and we've reached that point with ACARS Build 95, and the Build 96 betas. I will be deprecating these Builds over the next week. At some point tomorrow, people using ACARS Build 96 Betas will not be able to connect to the ACARS server. Build 96 has been out for several weeks, and if you were using a Beta, I appreciate your helping me out with testing. But that period's now over, and it's time to move on to the released version, which will have a few last tweaks and fixes over the older betas.
For those of you running Build 95, I will be deprecating this version on Wednesday or Thursday. Build 95 has a number of issues related to memory usage, especially on long flights. If you're suffering frame rate declines on long flights, you NEED Build 96. Please take a moment to download it from the Fleet Library before you start your next flight. You should be able to install over Build 95, or uninstall then reinstall. Your choice.
If you're unsure what version you have, you can find out on the ACARS splash screen, or in the message window right after ACARS starts up. The pace of ACARS upgrades has lowed noticeably as the ACARS 2.x code stream has matured. I see ACARS 2.x now reaching the point as the ACARS 1.x code stream - we're now complete, there's a few last bug fixes but new releases will be rare and far-between.
