I have asked this question in the chat area to several staff guys and I have read most of the manuals. So here goes!

If you are a senior captain and you wish to transfer to another airframe like the 707-320 (DC-8 Program) will you retain your senior captain title?

My ultimate goal is to help DVA as a ACP in a historic program.

Lionel yes you will keep your Senior Captain title. The only thing is I believe that while your in transition to a new airframe, until your completely tested out & check ride passed you'll see "FO" status posted beside your sig here in the cooler, but after that it will revert back to Senior Captain.

Keep up the good work & continued good hunting V4!

J. Michael got it right. From the Pilot Promotion Guide pg. 5, "Senior Captains shall retain their rank when switching primary equipment types upon meeting the requirements for Captain's rank in that program."

However, I do believe that your rank changes to ACP when and if you become an ACP or CP of a program...on the default signature image and in your profile.

707's rule! I've had the captain sim 707 for years. Its a handful but "feels" the most realistic.

Andy, you are correct. Once staff and ACP or CP, you leave your SC behind until you again retire.
