Apparently Delta is starting a codeshare with Virgin Blue in January. Any chance we'll see this added into the flight schedule?

As far as I know, they will be in our schedule as soon as they are in the real schedule.

BTW, Delta will also have a codeshare with Olympic Airlines on domestic Greek flights soon. smile

This is going to be a challenge because they are not in the current Innovata feed and we're talking a grand total of six flight legs.

I am in discussions with Innovata about a revised schedule feed, but it's worth noting that as of mid-February AF and DL code shares will include 40 airlines. I'm going to be raising the issue to the management of both DVA and AFV and see what criteria they wish to use for including flights.

Cheers!

Well Delta is the only US "major" currently serving 5 continents. What do you expect? LOL.

We do. We're the only US Major with service to Africa. I know we serve Johanasburg, and I think we used to serve Durban with 767 out of CDG.

We serve Dakar from JFK, Abuja from Dakar, Accra from JFK, Lagos from ATL, Cairo from JFK, and Johannesburg from ATL. Future service is scheduled to Cape Verde from ATL, Malabo from Cape Verde, Luanda from Cape Verde, Accra from ATL, Nairobi from Dakar, and Abuja from JFK. All future routes are subject to govt approval and may not happen.

United Airlines is scheduled to begin service to Accra and Lagos from IAD in June.

I think Dane meant who flies to Anartica and what's there. Well Dane there isn't much there for 'people'. There are several scientific station from various nations. The largest from the U.S. in the centre. The only way to get there is pretty much by military air charter or some cruise ship companies have charters. However, when it is too cold for the USAF C130 they call in the heavy guns... Borek Air from Canada has specially equipped twin otter aircraft to enable them to fly in extreme cold... were talking like -50 or -60.
