Greetings! Im new to DVA. Just a question, after answering the question on the application, I was placed as FO for B767-300 and listed also my other aircraft ratings. In a case of a flight which is from RPLL > RJGG, it stated on the flight that equipment used is B747-400. Does it mean, strictly B747-400 is the only aircraft to be used? Can I use the B767-300 or other aircrafts on my ratings for the flight?

Firs off, welcome aboard!

Here at DVA, we do not restrict flights to specific a/c types based on the schedule. You are free to fly any route found in the schedule with any a/c so long as the a/c you decide to use can make the flight legally (range) and you have the type rating for it.

So no 738 on RJAA-KATL wink razz

Kenji,

I will go ahead and explain but when you have time; under your Pilot's Longe listing to the left, click on Pilot Center and in the Downloads Library listing, click on Document Library. You will find endless information, all compiled by the great folks here at DVA (including the promotions manual).

But how it works, if you want to transfer to a different program (737, MD88, 777), you have to put in for a transfer. If you just want to get additional ratings (and stay in the 767), you have to put in a request for additional ratings. In either case, you will have to complete a pilot's examination for the specific type rating you want. When you pass, a checkride will be assigned to you by the chief pilot or assistant chief pilot of that program. The checkride specifics is always different and I can't talk about it anyway but just know that they will ask you to fly a route using DVA ACARS. If you pass the checkride, you get the rating/ program transfer.

The manuals are GREAT reading material and I can guarantee that at least 70% of your questions will be answered there; but you're new so it's ok wink Any other quesitions, just ask!
