Recently, I tried to play a DVD using my hard drive on the computer. I put the disk in the computer and the computer just rebooted. I tried with another computer and the same thing happens. Any ideas?

DVD drive is a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM gsa-4167b from LG.

Sorry, I didn't get it.

Update the firmware from LG site to see it it helps.

Also, can you pls. tell me your cable configuration w.r.t. the motherboard and your BIOS. Your HDD should be your primary master and the DVD should be primary or secondary slave. Also check your jumper pin settings vis the instruction manual that came along with the drive. The pin configuration is important. If you do it otherwise, the computer will play funny tricks.
