You're trying to connect and fly via WiFi? The system you are trying to connect through (the Wifi server) may have that port blocked...you would have to contact the provider and have them unblock that port for FSInn

Can you doublecheck the IP in FSINN? Crosscheck it with your working desktop -- you may be trying to use an incorrect IP (Kinda basic but worth a shot).

WIFI shouldn't be an issue as long as the ports aren't blocked.

If you are behind a NAT, 2 internal IP will always be different (laptop and desktop).
That shouldn't be the problem. Something else ...

Did you check with blockage of the ports on the wifi router as Andy suggested.

Are you able to get it through ethernet ??

If you were previously using the USA-S3 server did you input a new I.P. for a different server? USA-S3 is no longer.

I went out and bought the Ethernet cable and hooked to router and my laptop but still no luck but i am planning on taking my desktop Ethernet cable and plugging it into my laptop to see if it makes a difference

Glad you got it working, Gerhardt! That is going to be a big issue with quite a bit of people since VATSIM just got rid of the S-3 server. See you in the sky!!

Please don't do that -- if you want a decent computer at half the price, order the parts from newegg and build it yourself. You save tons of money. I can help you if you decide to get a new one.

I spent $5000 on a rig from Dell ~3 years ago -- it's a good computer, but I could have gotten the same thing off of newegg for less than $2000 (which I am building a new one from there as we speak ^_^)

If PMDG didn't exist, I donno that I'd still be flying -- freeware just don't compare lol.
