Looking to build a rig of my own but not sure what to get. I would like to run FSX fairly well. I'm willing to spend between $1500-$1750. I would like some feed back on good build for that price.

Hey Adam,

I was able to recently purchase and build a computer that runs FSX very well with addons.

Intel i7 920
1TB HDD SATA HARD DRIVE
ATI RADEON 5870(Some may prefer the GTX 280 2GB Edition)
6GB CORSAIR DDR3 RAM
P6TD Deluxe Motherboard
and some other specifics (Corsair water cooler, etc).

Price from newegg is roughly ~$1600-$1700 or so.

I can help you find alternatives as well, let me know smile

Yep that's the system that I got (GTX 280). Works great. I just watch what Skylar does, and copy. Lots of pressure on him. biggrin
