I'm just curious how often the schedule is updated. The reason why I ask is that Delta should have a 737-700 from Dayton to Atlanta today (DL1985: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/DAL1985/history/20100217/1104Z/KDAY/KATL)

I really try to follow the schedule and aircraft type. On a related note, there are two different flights that run DAY-ATL that leave at 1726.

P.S. It's not an aircraft swap because this has been in the schedule for at least a month and we're suppose to get another 737 next Wednesday/Thursday.

Not everyday. The scheduled is cycled through a third party that gets the exact schedule from DL and it's partners. I use to think it was every 24hrs as well but it's not. Close to it though.

I'm pretty sure I remember it being stated that it gets updated around 3AM EST every day. It's been a while since I heard this, so the likely hood of me being wrong is high.

It's every 24 hours.... BUT:

We get an update from our scheduled provider once a month between the 2nd and the 6th or so. It covers the next 90 days, and each day around 3AM we load the next day's flights into the database. In most cases, it will mirror Delta's flights 100%. However, if Delta makes a change to a flight after we get the update, it's not going to be reflected. Perhaps the change to DL1985 was made between 2/6 and 2/17, hence its lack of visibility in the schedule.
