I have a good chunk of change coming and I need to upgrade my PC motherboard and CPU and need serious advise? My graphic card is 9800GTX with 3 gb of memory.

What are you currently using. You might also have to invest in new RAM.

I assume its DDR2? The new i5 and i7 processors require DDR3. The article I posted in this section today sorta convinced me to buy an i5 over an i7
