I am struggling with my flight sim lights. They are GIANT. All of them, airport, airplane etc. I have downloaded several "fixes" but they seem to have zero effect. I used to love "Nick's lighting fix" cause it would leave me with sharp, crisp lights with a slight star effect. Have edited the fs9.cfg runway light scaler etc but nothing has any effect on the lights. Have adjusted vid card and FS display settings to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm at a lost and althoughit is not a huge thing it gets on my nerves....lol.

Pics may show what I am trying to describe.

Many thanks in advance!

Actually, your lights seem to be fine.

I haven't been able to get my own lights to be smaller either, and they are REALLY huge. I messed up my FS9.cfg some day... and I can't find the error on this 3-year-old install of FS9...

Actually they are not fine, I may be able to dig up a screen of what they used to look like on another pc.

here is one I found from the old PC, kind of hard to see but the nav lights are definetly smaller. Cant find any pics of the "star" effect the runway lights used to have. Just never take alot of screen shots at night!

LOL I'd never seen lights that small.

I'm sure the problem is in your CFG. There's no other file that controls lights' sizes. confused

Have edited to fs9.cfg lights scalar all the way down to 0.4. NO change at all. I'm thinking it has to have something to do with my vid card settings SOMEWHERE. I have changed everything in there I know to change tho as well.

Oh well....

Chuck. Do you use Ground Environment? If so there is an option in there to change up lights. Also, I purchased Shockwave Lights and it cleared this problem up on my rig.
