my new computer has a Amd PhenomIIx4(2.8) 6mb cache, 4 gig ram, and only a radeon hd 3450 card. What would be a decent card for me to get to run fsx fairley well?

What's your budget? Also did you want to stick with the ATI card or go Nvidia? "decent" is sadly extremely vague when it comes to fs

Make sure you pay attention to the power requirements for any potential card you want to buy. Most of the new cards require 400W+ and most new stock computers ship with a 300W power supply. You might have to drop another $70 to upgrade the power supply before you can get a new Graphics Card
