How often do staff update Flight Assigments' Request?

Recently found out about this marvelous technique to find random flights -just for the sake of realism, I do want to feel like assigned to a flight series rather than picking them up by myself.

However, as of today's list I just found a couple of long haul flights available. Aren't there short/medium flights assigments, within the range of 320/757?

I'd like to see more flight assigments!

Thanks!

I just go to FIND A FLIGHT and then add anything that looks interesting to MY FLIGHT ASSIGMENTS. You can search by distance, which is cool. Just make sure you save your selections at the bottom.

Oh well, I've done that millions of times (hehe) before! I find it cool too... it's just that searching for available Flight Assigments looks quite cooler ! Yesterday, anyways, only found flight assigments for A340's and DC8's...

I'd like to have more of them

At the top, download a dispatch xml sheet. I just start using this. The time tables are from a couple of years ago, so make sure you check the flights with the DVA schedule, so far I haven't run into any that weren't listed.

Whoa, Terry!

I'm stunned after seeing those Virtual Dispatchers. Now that's exactly what I was looking for, man, I owe you one !

Too bad they haven't got a Virtual Dispatcher for the 320 Series. Anyways, I'm planning to use M80/737 Dispatchers to match and accurate assigment.

Thank you!

Oswaldo, dont forget we have dispatch here too. If a dispatcher is on ACARS he will be green on the pilots list

But, Luis, is that dispatcher able to assign you a set of flights?

I thought his primary function was to set route data for you -out of a route already picked by you.

I can't get the download to work correctly with Works Spreadsheet, and it says there is an error for the 757 dispatch.

Dispatch on ACARS only gathers and provides you with fuel planning, wx information, and preferred route for whatever flight you have already chosen.

The XML sheets are awesome. Just make sure you remember that the info was from the flight schedule a couple of years ago.. things definitely have changed

PS: Don't mention it Oswaldo cool

I do get the 757 Corrupted/Damaged Zip/Rar File too, Joe, so don't worry.

I guess they'll fix it eventually. Otherwise, we may try contacting them

To expand on what Oswaldo is looking for, would this be possible. I dont know the first thing about programming, but would it be a big deal expand the find a flight feature to be able to have the system find 10 flights for you that woudl sequence with your search parameters.

For exampe: Lets say that you wanted 10 delta flights in the 767-300. The system could possibly link together 10 flights that would flow and produce them as a flight build. Then you would have the option to save those flights. The user could add more search parameters that they saw fit. It there wasnt a logical progression for ten flights, it would just come back error. I am probably talking about tons of man hours do this, but just wanted to share my thoughts.

It is definitely possible Bryan. I would like to see something of this nature tried in the future. Understandably programs like this will take a lot of time to develop and get right. Until then, the virtual dispatchers will do. For me atleast cool

That add-on would ultimately take the Find a Flight tool to the next generation!

I agree with both you, Bryan and Terry! Thanks for replying, by the way.

Terry, don't you know if these Virtual Dispatchers are available for Air France's Virtual? What about other equipments?

Thanks!
