Hey everyone,
Im having a very annoying problem with my eyefinity setup, also it makes my fs unflyable.

Basically what i think is happening is the fs is stretching my view wide rather than actually making it widescreen. I know it is possible to have it setup like I want it but I know I am just missing one simple thing.

Here is a link to a video of what I would like my FS to look like
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unaKUElRp-0

as you can see you can see outside and also see the panel and main instruments.

below is what my FS looks like

what am I missing?

I have the viewpoint zoomed out all the way to .30, I have changed the FSx.cfg file to be wideaspectratio=true, I have even gone in and edited the VC viewpoint to zoom out further but that just put me into the seat in the VC, I have also changed the resolution in FSX to 5040x1040.

Any advice on getting this working would be greatly appreciated.

are you using eyefinity built into new ATI cards or are you using triplehead2go like the person is using in the video. I have used neither but that might be the problem.

I am using eyefinity, he is using tripplehead to go but it does the same thing, expands the resolution over 3 displays to end up with a 5040x1050 resolution, what hardware or software way you get there should not mater, in theory.

wow made a dumb mistake, I was editing a copy of the fsx.cfg file, as soon as I changed the real fsx.cfg file to the wideaspectratio=true it works just as I knew it should., so for future reference make sure you are editing the fsx.cfg in the appdata folder.

Glad it works for you

I'm saving for a 3rd 22" Monitor to do it as well -- doesn't look quite right with just two screens in a 3360x1050
