As some know, I have been having issues with my flight sim computer. I had a Virus that I fixed however now I have a problem of not being able to use the internet on that computer.

What im looking to try to do is somehow download the Fleet md-88 onto my laptop and then transfer, either on a cd or some other method over to my desktop. Does anybody know if this is remotly possible?

I dont know if this would work, but try downloading the file, then save it to an easy accessible place, then insert cd or usb storage device and save it to that. Then pop either one into your desktop and then run it.

Trevor, why can't you "use" the internet? Is your browser being hijacked?

Update...

I tried a system restore back to a point where things worked: everything worked except the internet. So I ran the computer in safe mode, and Taaa daaaaaa, the internet works in safe mode but not in regular mode.

Im so confused...

You may need to do a format, good thing that you can power up etc. Might want to start backing up "essentials". Only problem is depending on the virus you could carry the virus over when you load files from now. What was the virus name?

Sounds like it possibly is in your memory.

I never could get its name. Whatever it was it made the computer unusable. Nothing would run. The virus stopped it all. Then the next day everything worked. No virus no nothing. I'm afraid to make a backup of my stuff for fear its all infected. For now I'm stuck flying offline with no acars and no weather

So you didnt do anything to eradicate it? If so its just gone "dormant" until it either time releases again or something "triggers" it.

I know how to get rid of them once I know their name but other than that I'm not much help with them. I'm sure the guys in here can help you out Trevor. And yes I'd be worried about cross-contamination as well.
