Hey there DVA, I am not able to play FS since past 2 days or so because of a strange issue. Whenever I launch a software i.e FS9 or any Game, the performance is really bad. Currently right now while typing my PC is running great. But if I launch any game or application, the performance in that application is like a disaster (FPS of FS9 dropped to 4 from 20), but in the background, the PC runs smooth. Can anyone help with this please? Thanks a lot

Specs:
Windows 7 64-bit
3GB RAM
Geforce 8600GT 256MB GDDR3
Pentium D 3.2 Ghz

Any other strange things you have noted recently? It could be a virus. Maybe a good 'ol restart will fix it if you haven't already tried that.

I have tried shut down and restart but still no luck. I'm gonna go ahead and do a complete scan for the PC. Will update soon

Try re-installing your video drivers.

Open Task manager and tell me what is highest on the CPU/Memory (List the first few that seem rather high) -- do it with and without fs9 running and let me know what it says.
