This is just a friendly reminder to PLEASE verify your VATSIM ID is correct in your Pilot Center before making your next flight. We have had MANY cases of people who have another VATSIM ID now but they forgot to update our website with their new ID. This causes a delay in processing your flight reports as the online data will not be found on vataware as you didn't fly the flight with the ID we have on record for you.

Another housekeeping item as well, if you have more than one VATSIM ID, I STRONGLY recommend you get your inactive accounts deleted. This is the exact quote from the VATSIM User Agreement you agree to when you apply:

1.4 You may register for and hold only one VATSIM registration and you may hold only one VATSIM identification number and password. This identification number and password are issued only to you and are neither transferable nor may they be used by any other person. The VATSIM identification number(s) issued to you remains at all times the property of VATSIM.net and may be revoked at any time pursuant to the terms of this Agreement, the VATSIM Code of Regulations and the VATSIM Code of Conduct.

To get your inactive accounts deleted, go to this website: http://membership.vatsim.net/user/. You will have to create an account to open a ticket but just fill one out and they will help you out. NOT getting those accounts deleted can cause you to be suspended for a period of time from VATSIM as they do audit their records pretty regularly. I know of about 5 people now who have been suspended over this so don't make it number 6.

Very Very good post Benton. Many years ago I ended up with 2 VATSIM accounts when I was first getting into it. I did not remember a couple of years previous having created a VATSI ID but never used it.

It took some time to get that straightened out with VATSIM. Sometime, I know from experience, you may have 2 accounts and not even know that you do!

Same thing happened to me about having an old vatsim account and forgetting about it. They are fairly easy to work with though unless it becomes a habitual thing. they just shot me an e-mail and I explained that it was an old account and i didn't have the login info for it anymore.
