Hello all,

Can you please give me ideas on how/what all to include in a home building labtop. I need it under $1200, but I want parts to make flight sim run PERFECTLY.

I thought only desktops could be self-built, and not laptops?

Why not build a desktop or something? You will save more money, and you can possibly make run FSX very smoothly vs. a puny notebook.

Anyway OCZ makes great products heres a couple of DIY laptops they have available.

Surely you mean a desktop?.....you really can't go out and build your own laptop from scratch. There are vendors out there that you can pick and choose different options for laptops but the vendors build it.

Oh no, no, no. It's completely possible to build your on laptop. The laptop my dad uses was built completely by parts bought off of Newegg, except the case.
