Once in the RW as a passenger I had a weird expeience. We took off from Honolulu on a Friday morning. After 5.5 hours in flight we landed at LAX sometime at night. 5.5 more hours of flight and eneded up at JFK just before dawn Saturday. Explain that. Try flying for 11 hours then facing the day. That's bushed.

Congrats. I am partial to the TATL flying myself. Must admit a little secret. If I am going to go TATL I climb to cruise, water and feed the pax than check out the winds, take a guess/gamble on when I will get near my TOD point, set the alarm on my phone and head to dreamland with the rest of the world. Works wonders and keeps ya fresh when it's time to do some work. Did KMEM-EHAM and landed at EHAM about 30 mins ago. Followed a company 757 in while a company 330 and 763 were waiting to go plus the usual assortment of KLM and over abundance of Speedbirder's all over the planet.

Congrats Neal. It isn't so bad. I wish I could take off in the evening and land in the morning though.
I've done two across the pond. One from Boston to Amsterdam in a 737-700ER lol, and one from Atlanta to Heathrow in a 767-300ER. Those were fun flights, but the 737 was very slow, 7.3 hours, and 7.8 in the 767 from ATL-LHR. I like the 767 better since it is faster, but the 747 goes almost .9 Mach. And the Concorde goes 2.03. And the SR-71 goes like 3 Mach. Don't ask about the shuttle though.

I did a real world flight from FJAS to KATL and it was 15hrs 22min, we left Africa when it was dark flew all the way home and it was still pitch black when we landed. I had a windo seat in 1st class and it was 100% useless.

Jet lag to the 3.
I've crossed the pond a few times, and it's nice, especially if you have Garden/Shanwick with you. Respect to them, I would go nuts if I had to hear transmissions all day like a lottery drawing.
