My Dell XPS 710 is being replaced by Dell, since the motherboard has crashed three times in the last 8 months. I found that the XPS was very good with FSX. I was contacted by Dell today and they advised that they were unable to find another XPS 710, so they are replacing my coputer with the Aurora ALX Desktop. I was wondering if anyone has an Aurora system and does it handle the FSX very well. My XPS 710 was loaded out with processor and video card and memory. They advised that this new system will be equal to if not upgraded from the XPS 710. Any help or suggestions, I would appreciate any advise you might have for me to question Dell. As of today they could not give me the specs... on the new computer, it will be at least 2 more weeks, which at this point my computer has been down for 3 weeks.

Wow! I can't believe Dell will be giving you an Aurora ALX. They must be giving you the cheapest parts for it, even then it's a really great desktop! It starts at $2,200 and the XPS 710 is like what, $1,000 now? Anyway, if you thought the 710 ran FSX well, be prepared to be even happier with the Aurora ALX.

Actually by the time I finished ordering the XPS 710 with upgrades, the total cost came to around $3500.00
