Sounds like your video card may be dying - or you're having a heat issue.

Try uninstalling all display drivers, reboot computer and reinstall all the latest drivers from the card manufacturers web site!

Does this only occur with FSX? I almost wonder if your DVI cable isn't plugged in all the way (I had some artifacting for a month before I realized it just wasn't plugged in all the way >.<)

Thanks for the replys guys,
i have taken the side off my conputer and used a large fan to cool, as the graphics card was getting too hot,
this seems to have stopped it, for a while anyway,
do you think this could of been the problem?

I had the same problem with an older computer I had a couple of years ago.. I took the side off of the tower and placed a fan there also to keep it cool but eventually had to replace my video card.. When I built my new computer I made sure it was a wind tunnel.. smile Hope you get it solved..

Tom download "real temp"
keep an eye on your GPU temp, make sure that its below the max temp as published on the manufacturer website.
Try runing your PC without that fan, if temps dont get near the MAX temp then its not because its getting hot.
Might be as skylar said , the wire might be loose.

Cheers !
