Here's the short version. It worked fine yesterday, and when I started up the puter this morning, the yoke wasn't working. I tried reloading the drivers, rebooting the puter. when I start FS9 it won't even recognize the yoke, or the rudder pedals.

Sounds like computer issues...have you tried different USB ports? If you plug some other USB device into the ports does the computer run the device?

I have tried 3 different USB ports, and the yoke isn't working. Everything else still works when plugged into the USB ports.

Hmmm...guess it is dead then. Is there another computer around you could plug the yoke into?...just to double check.

I have the same yoke ant throttle quadrant but I can't remember, did it come with a disc to install drivers? If so they're probably outdated and you need to go directly to SAITEK and download the latest drivers. I had a problem with mine a while back and that fixed my issue.

Don't use the SST Software - use a registered copy of FSUIPC and reset ALL the control settings in FS to their default position - then rebuild and see if that works.

You don't need any drivers for the Saitek's Yoke or Pedals .... I have both and when I plug them into my computer they work right away, didn't even need to calibrate them.

Philip, when you plug the yoke into your computer do you hear the "Bum-Bump" sound indicating a USB device was plugged in?

It doesn't do anything when you plug it in. NO sounds what so ever. I tried plugging it into my laptop, and it didn't do anything either.
I'm really thinking my yoke just went down in flames.

how old is it Phillip? the reason I ask is saitek replaced my stick after 2 years of usage, all i had to do was cover the shopping csts. Id email them and see what they say. might be worth it, like momma always said you attract more bees with honey. just boost thier ego a little like i did about thier product and how much you love it, etc and im sure theyll take care of you, after all bad word of mouth in this industry goes a lot further than good words. And of course good luck

I just had to update my drivers for my saitek yoke and rudder peddles a while ago. They're about two years old also.. Under the product type tab you need to click "other" and then on the next tab choose "saitek pro flight yoke" then below that you will be asked to choose your OS.. Your drivers will be available to download then. And my computer also does'nt make any kind of a sound when I plug them in.

http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php

Cheers.

I did go to the website, and downloaded the latest drivers. As a matter of fact, the power did go off, and then came back on about 3 seconds later a few days ago.

Everyone should have a surge protector between their equipment (Computers, TV's, stereo, etc.) and the wall outlet.

I had the same issue with mine. I never dropped it and I had a siurge protector. The stick one day just stopped working. I did some research and found out It has happened to a lot of people but saitek just released drivers that have nothing to do with the issue. Basically Saitek is the Captain Sim of joysticks, they would be the best if they worked:)

I know it might be a little late now, but did you try to activate the yoke in the FS options? Sometimes you have to manually activate the joystick instead of FS doing it automatically.
