I wondered if the mods of the cooler would consider making this thread permanant as I dont see one that is equivilent within the forum itself.

This thread is designed to help pilots who may come into an issue with saving flights when using aircraft that has Lonny Payne's excellent panel, the aircraft in question will be the DVA 757-200/300 and also I believe the 767 aswell.

Anyway the problem will occur when you save a flight, on the occasion that you wish to select from the "select flights" menu you will find that your FS will crash to the desktop trust me this is very frustrating and almost led to me getting an alternative panel(once I'd learned that this was the problem and not the aircraft)

Anyway the solution to this problem is simple, but only when you know it;

When you first fire up the 757/767 aircraft you will notice that the screen will be fillled with all of the available windows ie; Overhead Panel,Throttle Quadrant etc....

Well what you see here is CRUCIAL to saving flights within the aircraft, before you attempt to save a flight you must be in the cockpit with 4 windows open, in simple terms it is the top 4, from the menu selector just to the left of the PFD, so you need to have the Overhead Panel,Throttle Quadrant,FMC and the SIM windows all open before saving flights, now one thing I must mention is as I write this I'm still a "trainee first officer" in the 757-200 so havent had a chance to see if the ACARS autosave also has an issue with this, obviously if you have a pc that never freezes on you then you dont really need this but if you do then I'd recommend a manual save every so often with the 4 mentioned windows open.

Feel free to add any other points I may have missed here
