I'm pretty new to the world of FS addons, and I need some help with this one. I want to download the PMDG 747X delta livery. I got the textures folder copied no problem. I opened the aircraft.cfg in notepad and copied the necessary pieces. But when I try to save, it will not work. This is the error I get- "Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Simobjects\Airplanes\PMDG747-400\Aircraft.cfg file. Make sure that the path and file name are correct."

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack one.

I'm using windows 7 and in fs9 I have to make a copy of the file after I've changed the text and then send the copy to my documents then I can go back and delete the other and then take the one I saved to docs and copy it into the A/C folder.. Pain but it works. In FSX I don't have any problem changing CFG files. Have you done it with administrator rights etc..?

Right-click on notepad and select run as administrator, and open then config file through notepad.
