I bought Captain Sim version of the 767. The FMC sends a IRIS message that states the IRIS is not in the same geographical area and the IRIS Align lights are flashing. I know that I need to re-calibrate the IRIS but what I don't know is how this is done. The manual describes what the switches do and what the lights are for but I can find no user information as to how to correct problems. Anyone got any ideas?

When you fire up the sim, are you starting the plane as Cold-and-Dark. If not, try doing that before you hop into the plane - and see if that fixes the issue.

Nope, all fired up and ready to go. I think I solved my problem though.....I just had to go into the FMC and go to the POS section. Then I clicked to the current position and entered it as the internal position. Got out of FSX and then got back in. Ran the IRIS alignment and no more flashing lights :-) I thought that the two systems were independant of each other......guess not. I learn somthing new every day. Thanks for the input Andy.....still waiting on the Kiowa pix.
