Right now i have an e7200 overclocked to 3.5ghz, 4gb of ddr2 800mhz and an ati hd4850. Windows 7 uses up 2gb at idle. should I add in another 2 or 4gb of ram? I run woai with all airlines so some airports have a ton of traffic. I also run fsx at 1920x1080.

I don't think the extra RAM will do you any good unless you have a 64 bit OS.. I have the same problem concerning RAM in windows 7 ultimate, 32 bit..

Then it should give you some improvement.. 2 GB is just not enough to run FSX properly.

I can run FSX just fine with the PMDG 747 and I do it with only 1GB. That was up from 512 Mb which was also fine.

That's part true Dale. I can see fields, a rare few trees and only get about 3-4 buildings in major cities. I get airport buildings and taxiway signs, airport fences and blast fences. My traffic is always off anyway because I fly online but I can max out weather no problem. But when I say just fine, that means at DVA I spend most time at FL350 and about zero time sightseeing so I don't need it anyway. I get about 16 FPS a flight which is only 8 FPS slower than movie and it looks just fine to me. It all depends on your standards. For me, I'm happy and quite content with my FSX.
