Ok, so my cpu is turned on today and after the BIOS screen comes up right when it should switch to windows the screen goes black. Lastnight when I shut the computer down it was working fine. Any ideas??

Here any beeps?...count them.
Hearing one beep after the RAM test is normal....
Also...can you get into BIOS??...if you can select default settings and save, then reboot.

I don't hear any beeps but never have when working normally. Went into BIOS and set defaults, still nothing.

At this point it sounds like you need someone who is handy with computers to do some troubleshooting ..... can't really do this in a forum setting.

Well, my motherboard went out which was causing the problem with the black screen, luckily all of my files were still on my hard drive so I can still access them. Got the new motherboard in on Saturday night and spent yesterday getting some of my files back on FS9. I am currently flying to KDCA, nice to be back in the air!
