I am having a problem with the DC-9 from SkySim... When I goto select the a/c from the a/c selection screen in fsx it sends fsx into a fatal error and crashes. Any ideas? I installed everything with Admin. I'm running Windows 7. I've tried to install SP2 for the DC-9 from SkySim but it says it can't find the location of the origional DC9 install.. Very aggrivating...

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

I haven't looked at Windows 7 closely, but have you tried running FSX in a different compatibility mode? Just a thought.

I own this plane, and have seen no such problems, also on Win 7. You said you tried to install SP2,
does that mean you installed SP1 without incident?

What about your version of FSX, does it have all service installed? I installed the base, then 1, then 2.
I have FSX Gold. I would suggest you uninstall and start over perhaps.

PS: I meant reinstall the DC9 in case that was ambiguous smile

Also, its been a while so I'm
not sure, but I think this was a plane that you needed to reboot for after it was installed,
make sure you do that and try reinstalling the service packs.

Jack,

The version of DC9 I installed came with SP1 and when I tried to upgrade it to SP2 it says it can't find the origional install. I haven't had a problem with anything else in FSX and yes I installed them just as you said. I tried uninstalling DC9 and reinstalling it. Still no luck. When I goto select the ac in the startup menu it ends up going back out to the free flight menu then freezes and crashes. Really weird but not very happy after a purchase...

Ya, that sucks Matt. What happens if you hit the <Details> button from the selection
menu, does that initialize ok?

What about your FSX version, thats important, I'm pretty sure they require that you
have both SP1 and 2 for that installed. As I said, I have Gold which gives you all service
plus Acceleration.

Ultimately, you should make sure and contact Skysim on this, however you do that, I
don't recall if they have forums or only email support, but do whichever.
