"...the sun and the moon...All I wana' do is have some fun..." Sheryl Crow
Just a quick hello from my AFV "tour of duty"...I've been really enjoying flying aircraft I don't usually fly very much..Airbus's, ERJ's, the F-100...
Also, flying in Europe is quite a bit different...country dependent TA's, runway dependent DP's and STAR's...I used to fly quite often years ago...both on and off of VATSIM...gotta' try and stay up to date with proceedures etc...if you don't use it...you'll loose it..
I've also come to enjoy the Wilco Airbus version 1 very much...they are actually very engrossing aircraft to pilot...the flight guidence system has a few quirks (bugs) but I've worked around them...mostly it's the descent profile that's a bust...so I do my descents using a combination of V/S and Opt Des...and "good old fashion" piloting skills...
That's all for now...

Yes, with you out of the way (I mean absent ) I'm having a lot of alone time with the queen. Just landed in Tel Aviv with her as a matter of fact. Then it will be back to New York and a bunch of Asia legs as I continue my "Fly all Delta, Historic, and Codeshare 747 flights" quest. Having completed the 747-100 and -200 flights, and the AF and CI portions of the 747-400 flights, all I have is the some DL flights (which I'm working on now) and then the KLM and KAL routes. Don't stay away from her too long...

I must admit I'm starting to get a little jealous...Maybe I should try and win her back...its just that I lack your commitment...I hate being tied down...I'm too much of a free spirit...
All kidding aside...the flight schedual you made for yourself is is a very cool idea...goal orientated...but definitely

Having a goal or other object of pursuit definitely adds a lot to the FS experience, much more than flying whatever leg happens to suit your fancy at the time.

Wow...I've done a 142 flights already...with soo many different types, shapes and sizes...and in soo many different places... http://www.deltava.org/profile.do?id=0x99ca7 ...
I've only been a member of DVA since the end of April...talk about promiscuous behavior on my part...

Gee...thanks for pointing out the error of my ways Nick...maybe I should just find a nice 747 and settle down...like you did...you monogamous old fart...

Hmm...after rereading some of my posts in this thread...it's obvious that I may need to "get out" a little more often...
Sublimation..."to divert the energy of a biological impulse from its immediate goal to one of a more acceptable social, moral, or aesthetic nature or use."
Or maybe not...
